College admissions are becoming increasingly competitive, and a well-crafted essay can be the part of your application that distinguishes you from the crowd. At Montfort's College Application Workshops, students learn how to share their stories and write unique, memorable, and powerful application essays.

Teachers meet with students one-on-one to brainstorm, craft, critique, and revise multiple drafts, helping students create polished and compelling personal statements. In addition, teachers can provide step-by-step guidance in listing and describing extra-curricular activities and completing college application forms.

• Conduct weekly one-on-one meetings for applicants during the application season until all college applications are completed

• Define applicant’s overall profile

• Answer questions/concerns through phone, or email, besides meetings

• Build an individualized college list and decision plan with application strategies

• Brainstorm, edit, and finalize essays for UC, Common App, Coalition, and more

• Discuss the cost of attendance for desired colleges.
• Assist with FAFSA and CSS Profile.
• Guide scholarship applications

• Manage college application and financial aid deadlines.
• Ensure submitting on time.

• Review all college applications before submission

• Coach on college interview if any
